OK so, I thought it high time that I start making an attempt to keep in contact with my friends (past and present!).
So here goes my friends.......
It has been a whirlwind few months since we made the life-altering move from sunny Australia to the 'Windy city' in New Zealand! I cannot believe that we have been here nearly 6 months, time has really flown!

I have been really fortunate so far to have found some really great friends here already! I have a fabulous mother's group that Amelie and I attend, and through this group I have met an amazing bunch of women. This group of women embrace much of what I either aspire to be or what I admire, and that is hard to find anywhere. These women have unknowingly kept the homesickness-bugs at bay!
Although, I will say that it has been a huge adjustment for me being here, the reality of not having family close by to lean on when you are sick or whatever has been huge! It's funny how you don't realise how much you do rely on family and also how much you take them for granted!!
We have had loads of visitors so far and it has been great to be able to spend time with these friends and family in a relaxed setting. I am also enjoying playing tour guide as each set of visitors arrives, and it has been a great way for us to be 'forced' to see some of the countryside.
We have a great trip planned for the Anzac Day Long Weekend! We are off to the West coast, which is supposed to be very wild and woolly. We have decided to catch the train across the country, just for the adventure of it really, and we will also be going to see Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers! Am getting quite excited about it all now, as I have never seen a glacier before!
Amelie is growing in leaps and bounds, she is 16 months now and babbling and laughing pretty much all day. My little 'baby' is no longer here, she is most definitely a Toddler now.....I can't believe how fast it has all gone!
Anyway - life is good and we are settling in well in New Zealand!
